4th ANNUAL MICHAEL E KAHANCA CHARITY GOLF OUTING

The last Saturday of August cradles this awesome charity fund raiser which Tom Furmanek, PGK, chaired for its first three years. Beneficiaries have been Mya Women’s Center, Wags-4-Warriors, and St John School Endowment Fund. This year they recaptured our hearts with their need to expand to a second day/week, Wednesday and Friday, serving women in distress. The Women of Mya deliver their services with an embrace of compassion and love. The tradition of growing results continues each year. Hundreds of volunteer Knight hours in preparation and putting on the event more than demonstrates the Council’s love of the KofC mission to serve others in the program area of Life. The other three include Faith, Community, and Family. Enjoy this brief pictorial composition of the 31 August 2019 event. Despite the life tragedy of spousal loss this recent August, Judy Christen, Mya Director, participated all day with some of her volunteers. Many of us knew her husband Glen.
